After years of driving by, I finally stopped recently to explore Kelvedon Beach with its old boat shed sitting picturesquely on the point overlooking Great Oyster Bay and Schouten Island on Tasmania’s East Coast, a few kilometres south of Swansea.
The ruin sits on the point at Kelvedon, across the road from vineyard and estate of the same name, and is publicly accessible via a short walk along the beach. Known to local surfers as Shed Point, the spot has also become a popular spot for astrophotography in recent times.
