The Clarence City Council has opened a new walking track along the Clarence Coastal Trail between Cremorne and Lauderdale.
Noosa is not somewhere that I had ever considered visiting, but having the time to explore as well as relax and get to know the area on its own terms was both enjoyable and rewarding.
On Friday I visited Maroochydore, an hour or so on the public bus south from Noosa.
I had a rare opportunity today to spend some time on the East Coast between Bicheno and Binalong Bay on the Bay of Fires. Usually if I’m up this way, I’m just passing through, but today I had time to take my time, get out the camera and generally take the path less travelled.
These beaches might not actually be secret, but they are little visited and one will often have miles of coast entirely to oneself when visiting, even in summer.
…those beaches are epic, stretching as far as the eye can see…
A photographic celebration of summer in Hobart and Southern Tasmania
Tasmania has incredible beaches and even the most popular ones are rarely crowded. Venture to the lesser-known beaches and you’re often likely to have them to yourself.
The beach is tiny but perfect and the sandstone ledge on the western edge sits above a marine reserve where I have seen sea dragons and other aquatic creatures while snorkelling just offshore.
