PayPal Integrations

Those following my Portfolio posts will recall that I recently completed work on an online shop, set up for my good friends who operate The Farm Shed East Coast Wine Centre at Bicheno on Tasmania’s East Coast.

This is not something I had attempted before, although I had undertaken PayPal integrations for some membership management systems I had previously set up using Wild Apricot membership database software.

It turned out that integrating PayPal into an eCommerce site built on WordPress and WooCommerce was a little more involved, and that it required a little more work to successfully complete. And while I’m not defending my inexperience with the process (hey, there is a first time for everyone, right?), it must be said that the instructions provided by WordPress and WooCommerce were a bit convoluted.

However, after a few false starts and a bit more testing, I’ve now successfully integrated The Farm Shed’s PayPal account, linked their bank account and got it all running smoothly. It was one of those cases of ‘it’s easy when you know how’!

Have you had any experiences of setting up ecommerce sites? Or would you like to set one up? I’d be happy to help…

And The Farm Shed sells some lovely drops, and can freight at very reasonable rates. Do check them out.
